Yes, Bivins Pointe does offer private pay Long Term Care suites. For a tour or to be added to our Long Term Care waiting list please call us at 350-2200. Our goal with every short term rehabilitation patient is to help them return home healthy, as soon as possible and, most importantly, minimize hospital readmissions.
Yes, for our short-term rehabilitation care- Bivins Pointe will accept payment from Medicare for those Medicare covered services and supplies provided to the Patient if the Patient is, or becomes eligible for Medicare benefits according to Medicare guidelines. Bivins Pointe will also accept payment from the patients primary insurance (other than Medicare) when prior authorization for care and treatment has been obtained. Patient/ Patient Representative agree to pay for charges for care and services not authorized by the patient’s primary insurance. Our facility does not participate in the Medicaid Program.
Bivins Pointe will provide each patient with a private room, skilled nursing care and treatment, rehabilitation services that are medically necessary (Physical, Occupational, Speech Therapies) medications, supplies, medical testing (x-rays, laboratory) three meals per day, snacks, routine personal hygiene items, telephone in room, cable television, linen and routine laundry services, housekeeping services, enrichment activities and social services.
Bivins Pointe is always looking to strengthen our relationships with area medical partners, physicians, case managers, and social workers. We are conveniently located in the center of Amarillo’s Medical District & scenic Medi Park and always welcome medical partners to join us for a tour or to learn more about our facility. At Bivins Pointe patients have the right to receive visitors when he/she chooses (24 hours a day)
Family is encouraged to participate in our patients therapy while they are in-patient at Bivins Pointe.
Bivins Pointe participates in a Safe Patient Handling Program. Staff will assess the patient to determine if it is necessary to utilize a lift while a patient at our facility.
Bivins Pointe participates in Smart Bed functions. Each patient room will include sensors and bed pads that alerts the pagers our care partners and nursing team wear to prevent fails and better help care for our patients in their rooms.
Yes, anyone 55+ is invited to get a membership to our Bfit Gym. We encourage patients who have recently been in our short-term rehabilitation care to join our Bfit Gym for outpatient rehab services as well. Their spouses, children, support team, 55+ are also encouraged to become a member and share in their therapy and overall health living and exercise programs.
